Since there are already other threads on key needs for emergencies (water, food, gas, ...) I'm wonder how much money people have available to themselves for a situation where electronics/banks/cards are closed and don't work. Obviously bartering is an option, but I want to have the capability to buy something in the near term (within the first week). I usually have $20-$80 in cash in wallet with me at nearly all times, ~$200 in my bug out bag (need more small bills and change), another ~$200 in the house.
So, how much cash do you keep on hand? Do you keep anything else with the express purpose of trading it?
