Hello, all, I wanted to give you an intro post and say thanks for all the existing information already on here about YNAB for small businesses.
My name is Barrett Young, I started my company in January, and I'm the sole income for a family of four. My daughter Anna is 4, and my son Christian is 2. I'm stoked to raise them as a self-employed entrepreneur, and love the flexibility of working from home with two crazy toddlers.
I'm just starting out with YNAB. I am a CPA/small business consultant, and have tons of awesome and innovative tools at my disposal for sm/med business reporting, invoicing and tracking (my current fav being http://www.xero.com
), but nothing really for future planning or budgeting more fancy than a Google docs spreadsheet/custom-made dashboard.
Hopefully I can find a way for YNAB to fill the future-focused gap, first for me and then for my clients. I love the YNAB culture from their website, so think they will be great to interact with. Such a refreshing break from years of dealing with Intuit... blech.
So anyways, I'm looking forward to interacting on the boards. I hope I can offer enough to compensate for what I'll be learning.
